Every credible mold investigation begins with moisture. Arnold Mold Inspection maps moisture throughout the building envelope using calibrated pin and pinless meters, infrared thermal imaging and hygrometry — non-destructively.

Drywall, framing, flooring, insulation and concrete all hold moisture at different levels. Our inspectors map relative moisture readings across walls, floors and ceilings to identify anomalies — the wet spots that indicate active or recent water intrusion. Thermal imaging adds a temperature-differential view that reveals evaporative cooling behind otherwise normal-looking surfaces.

In Los Angeles, common moisture sources include roof flashing failures, parapet leaks, irrigation backsplash on stucco, plumbing supply or drain leaks, HVAC condensate problems, refrigerator and dishwasher supply lines, and inadequate bathroom ventilation. We trace each anomaly until the source is identified or ruled out.

Moisture detection findings are documented with photographs, infrared images and meter readings.
